Yes, you are charged before anything is drafted — today, on Square's own page: the $297 setup fee and first month on monthly, or the year on annual (two months free, setup fee waived). Foundation has no minimum term; Authority and Exclusive have a 3-month minimum. Foundation and Authority carry a 30-day refund; Exclusive starts with a 15-minute call to confirm your area is open.
